“I decided to become a massage therapist because it is such a rewarding job, I love to help people. Each treatment for me is a mission! My mantra is: ‘the day you stop learning is the day you die’. I never stop learning and so far I have also completed qualifications in dry needling, fitness, sports science, special-needs massage, prenatal massage, lymphatic drainage, aromatherapy and reflexology. When I’m not at SAGE, I’m at the gym or I love being outdoors – we are so lucky to live in Australia!”

Haruka is a qualified Remedial therapist whose journey into massage therapy began with a passion for helping others achieve wellness and balance in their lives. Originally from Japan, Haruka’s background in psychology equips her with a depth of empathy and understanding of the trauma and stresses which often underly physical pain.
“Through psychology I helped my clients to live better lives. Studying psychology also helped me learn about myself and I gained awareness of the path I wanted to take.
The reason I was interested in massage therapy was that the conditions of the body and mind are so strongly related. In massage, touching hands to the body brings lots of information about clients and I want to listen to clients’ needs and help them relieve symptoms using my knowledge of anatomy and techniques I have learned. I want to treasure every meeting and encounter I have.”
“I have always had a love for holistic treatments and have a strong passion for women’s health. I decided to start my career as a massage therapist so that I would be able to help hands on.
I have worked in a variety of different care roles working with infants to the elderly which led me to pursue massage therapy. Touch is so beneficial, it’s our first sense to develop and our last to diminish. I love everything about massage therapy, being able to offer pain relief, healing and a safe space for my clients is the most important thing.
I have a qualification in pelvic health massage which is very beneficial for offering pain relief from conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS, IBS, cysts, fibroids, menopause and more. It is also amazing for healing after birth, loss, or trauma.
Another special interest of mine is children’s massage and all the wonderful benefits it can offer especially for our neurodivergent little ones.
